Philips ZOOM

Combined teeth whitening is the most effective method of whitening, and entails a combination of home and in-office whitening. First, you‘ll whiten your teeth using bleaching trays at home for five days. On the sixth day, you’ll come in for an in-office whitening, and you’ll continue whitening at home for another three to five days. Thanks to this process, we can achieve a significant change in the shade of your teeth with the guarantee of a long-lasting result. Before whitening, we recommend you see one of our dental hygienists and have your teeth looked at by our doctors. Your teeth must be cavity-free and clean to achieve the best result.

Jak to bude probíhat?

  • 1

Your gums must be healthy and your teeth professionally cleaned prior to whitening.

  • 2

We’ll document the current color of your teeth with photos, so that we can easily check the results of the teeth whitening procedure.

  • 3

Your teeth will be scanned with a scanner, which is much faster, more accurate, and more comfortable than using dental impression materials. We’ll send the scan to a 3D printer right here in our clinic, which expedites the production of the plastic model of your teeth.

  • 4

We’ll use this model to mold the foils for the application of the whitening gel (within 90 minutes).

  • 5

We’ll test the foils on your teeth, show you how to use them properly, and demonstrate how to apply the whitening gel.

  • 6

On day six, we will use the Philips ZOOM whitening lamp to whiten your teeth at our offices.

  • 7

You will continue whitening your teeth at home for the next three to five days.

Do you have questions? We have the answers

  • What types of teeth whitening do you do?

We have several types of whitening. Home whitening is suitable for correcting the color of teeth with color defects, combination whitening is suitable for everyone, and in-office whitening is suitable if your teeth have been whitened in the past. All teeth whitening is preceded by a consultation with a dental hygienist who will advise you on the best option for your particular case.
  • Does teeth whitening harm enamel?

No. Teeth whitening is performed with hydrogen peroxide, which is completely safe for your teeth and doesn‘t damage soft tissues or mucous membranes.
  • How long will my teeth stay whitened?

If you follow all the whitening steps and after-whitening recommendations, your bright white teeth will last forever. Over time, the original color will start to return, so it’s a good idea to repeat the whitening process regularly. But rest assured that your teeth will not go back to their original shade.
  • Do I need to take any special precautions?

There is no need to follow any special "white diet". You can drink coffee, tea, and red wine with no issues. Blueberries, curry and beetroot are exceptions, however, and we also recommend you limit smoking. After consuming dark-colored drinks or smoking, we suggest brushing your teeth immediately. Use caution when consuming acidic foods and drinks, as these can increase tooth sensitivity.
  • Will teeth whitening make my teeth more sensitive?

Tooth sensitivity can occur with whitening. However, this sensitivity is caused by dehydration (drying) of the tooth and is only temporary. It is most common in the first four days after you start whitening. At our clinic, we examine tooth sensitivity beforehand and carefully choose the type of bleaching and the concentration of peroxide to minimize any sensitivity.
